Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics to ensure any underlying health condition, fever, infection, or other illness won't be a problem during surgery.
Pre-anesthetic blood testing is also an important tool we utilize in reducing the risk of anesthesia. The blood test will tell the doctor if the pet's liver and kidneys can process the anesthetic. Even apparently healthy animals can have serious organ system problems that cannot be detected without blood testing. If serious problems are detected, surgery can be postponed until the problem is corrected.
The surgical services provided by Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital are the most thorough and up-to-date-processes available in veterinary care. We provide a variety of surgeries, ranging from standard surgeries to specialty surgeries. We are committed to providing the best care available for our surgical patients, including a complete monitoring system while your pet is under anesthesia. Highly trained veterinary technicians are assigned to your pet for their entire surgery as well, to ensure that they are fully monitored and under the most watchful care.
